Here's a marvy picture of Leo Gorcey in a Bowery Boys film called Hard Boiled Maloney.  He's shown (right), with perennial heavy Dan Seymour wielding his cane.  This, and two upcoming Gorcey scans (with the Dead End Kids), are for Chelsea.

Jane sent in some great scans of George Hurrell photographs for The Annex Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Ramon Novarro, and Robert Taylor.  Thank you, Jane!

We also have new images of Constance Bennett (2 pictures), Anita Page and Ann Sheridan (2 pictures)―Oomph!

Next, we have a film clip of Bette Davis in an extended scene from The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex.  Also in this clip are luminaries Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Vincent Price, Henry Daniell, and Nanette Fabray, et al.  Enjoy!

We added movie summaries for Gilda and The Maltese Falcon.

Finally (whew!), eagle-eyed visitor Robert correctly identified one of our "anonymous" Ziegfeld Girls (#20) as Myrna Darby, so we've moved the photo to her dedicated page.  A new Ziegfeld Girl #20 has been added.  Thanks, Robert!

So ends 2005...

Here's a pretty photo of Norma Talmadge, in a scene from her 1925 film The Lady.  She's being wooed by Wallace MacDonald.  We scanned from an original 80-year-old photo and, despite its age, the resulting image is quite crisp.  This picture is dedicated to Greta―we hope she likes it!

We also appreciate these five additional Ziegfeld Girls from Nick and Jane.  Thank you for this great series!

Finally, in The Annex we have:

Extending the treat:  five more Ziegfeld Girls from Nick and Jane.  Thank you!

We also have five new pictures of Anne Baxter in The Annex for your enjoyment.

We conclude with a tantalizing romantic interlude, in this film clip from As You Desire Me, with Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas.

And here's a fun Laurel and Hardy film clip, from Chickens Come Home.  With the boys in this scene are Mae Busch as the blackmailing hussy in the bathroom, and young Thelma Todd as Mrs. Hardy.  [Note:  video removed 12/3/2006]
